报告摘要: |
High-cadence photometry is one of the frontiers in time-domain science. In this talk, I will introduce recently installed instruments, Tomo-e Gozen and TriCCS, which are mounted on 1.05m Kiso telescope and 3.8m SEIMEI telescope in Japan, respectively. These instruments are designed for searching of very fast astrophysical phenomena at the very high cadence, normally at 1Hz. Using Tomo-e Gozen, we have discovered a new population of very fast optical flashes from M dwarfs. We also started to search for fast spinning white dwarfs using Tomo-e Gozen and TriCCS, and found one possible candidate, which will be added to the limited sample of remnants of white-dwarf white-dwarf mergers. In the talk, I will introduce the instruments and the early scientific results, and also discuss future prospects for high-cadence photometry. |

Dr Masataka Aizawa obtained his Ph.D in 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Yasushi Suto from the Department of Physics, University of Tokyo. After completing Ph.D., he spent a half year at Ibaraki University as a post-doc, and then moved to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tsung-Dao Lee Institute, as a postdoctoral fellow. He has been working on planetary and stellar astrophysics using various instruments and wavelengths, e.g., Kepler, Tomo-e Gozen, and ALMA. He is also involved in Earth-2.0 mission in China and JASMINE mission in Japan. |
